DescriptionPetition of Robert Ince, draper, stating that he had purchased the Well house in Northgate Street near the Flesh Shambles from Randle Hall, his brother-in-law, who was granted it for a term of lives in the mayoralty of Edward Dutton, paying 5s. yearly rent. He also paid 3s. 6d. for a 'showring' added and 6d. for a portal to the same. The petitioner has paid the same for 40 years past. He is now 87 years old and asks a new grant. Note: that he may hold the same for his life at the accustomed rent and afterwards for the lives of Robt. Ince and Mary Ince, children of his eldest son, Randle, paying 40s. fine.
