Description | Petition of the Aldermen, Stewards and Company of Carpenters, Slaters and Sawyers, stating that no 'foreigner' should exercise his trade within the City except as journeyman to a member of the company, and complaining that John Parry, and divers under him, practises as a carpenter and asking relief. Note: that the company attend the Mayor and Aldermen at at the Pentice with their charter, to be delivered to the Mayor to be detained till they submit to the former order of the House. |
