Description | Formerly pinned to the above. Note that Edward Gray states that according to their order he measured the ground which is 60 yards square, and desires a lease for 3 lives and 21 years, on payment of 20s. fine and 20d. yearly rent, and another similar lease after it to his heirs or assigns in consideration of 5s. fine and the same rent. He asks that provision may be made for renewing each lease, paying only 5s. fine on each occasion. Note: that Alderman William Ince, the Treasurers and Sheriff Bristowe were to agree with him for a lease for three lives and twenty-one years, and to take care that the highway was not thereby prejudiced. |
