Attendance list; note of order that the monies due upon the monthly assessment by Act of Parliament be forthwith levied and disposed of by the order of Mr. Mayor for the defence of the City, and that each member of Assembly bring their proportion of the money to Mr. William Wright in the Inner Pentice at seven o'clock on the present day. Those who are absent from Assembly are to have notice of the order; note of order that the Watch be continued at the Pentice and that the Captain of the Watch from time to time be appointed by the Mayor; note of order that whatever has already been done by the Mayor and Justices of peace for the City's defence be approved by this Assembly; note of order that three foot Companies shall be raised for the defence of the City and that William Wright and John Witter shall be Captains of two of the Companies, and that Mr. Richard Bridge should be Lieutenant unto Mr. Wright and Mr. Edward Burroughes his ensigns and that Mr. Thomas Fernihaugh should be Lieutenant and Mr. William Streete ensign unto Mr. John Witter; note of order that John Whittle, ironmonger be Commissary for the City Companies. |
