Description | Petition of Charles Farrington stating that Richard Bavand, Alderman, deceased, bequeathed to the Mayor, Aldermen and Citizens a cottage and garden in Northgate Street, the rent of which, being 20s. p.a., was to be disposed of by the Mayor on every Good Friday to twenty poor people. Farrington lately purchased the house called the White Bull adjoining the cottage, which he has since pulled down to re-edify the same. He asks a fee-farm of the cottage to join his house and he will pay the accustomed rent and a fine. Note of voting re the same: granted, paying £20 fine and 20s. rent p.a. |
