Description | Petition of Robert Parkes, the younger, weaver, stating that his late father-in-law, Richard Calcott, was tenant to the City for a piece of waste ground in Cleaton Lane, where he erected part of a house for his own habitation. After his death, his widow continued in possession, paying the rent of 8d. p.a. until about three years ago, the house was given to Parkes on his marriage with her daughter and he was enrolled in the Treasurers' books as tenant, paying yearly rent and 7s. 4d. arrears.
