Description	Bishop Pearson was born February 12th 1612 and was described by Burnet, as in all respects the greatest divine of his age, his famous 'exposition of the Creed' entitles him to a high place among Anglican writers such as Jeremy Taylor & Bishop Butler. He was appointed to the See of Chester in 1673. His death took place in Chester in 1686 and he was burried in Chester Cathedral.
