DescriptionThis Pulpit stands in the south-east corner of the Refectory and was used for the reading of lectures, or as a station from which to entertain the monks with music during their meals. It is an unusually fine piece of pure early english work. examples such as this being very rare in England. The Refectory was formerly 90ft long and 30ft wide.
