DescriptionThe norman doorway was altered in the 13th Cent., by addition of an outer arch and shafts of the early english style. The doorway opens into another passage across the west end of the refectory from which it was separated by a wall with two doorways in it, and on the west-side another wall separated it from the norman chamber.In this wall are also two doorways which led to the kitchen and offices.
