DescriptionAbove will be observed the cross swords impaling the Cardinal's Hat - below the tassels, the cord between being entwined in the cusping. On the left are the cross keys, as the arms of the See of York; on the right Wolsey's Arms thus described in Archoeolojia: Sable on a cross engrailed argent; a lion passant; gules between four leopards' heads azure; on a chief or; a rose of the second, between two cornish choughs proper.
