DescriptionIn the top right hand corner is what remains of the old Bishop's Palace, which was re-built by Bishop Keene, at a cost of £2000. Below that, and over the south-west angle, is the Bishop's private chapel. Edmund Keene, was born in 1713, was consecrated Bishop of Chester on Palm Sunday 1752, died in 1781, and was buried in Ely Cathedral.
