Administrative History | This Association was formed in January 1920, the membership consisting of members of staff of the King's, Queen's and City and County Schools. The Ursuline Convent later joined the Association, and after the Education Act of 1944, the Association also included the new secondary schools established in Chester. The Association was at first concerned only with entrance examinations, but rapidly expanded its interests to include salaries and professional status of secondary school teachers, educational methods, and all aspects of secondary education in Chester. The Association was disbanded in May 1973. |
