| Administrative History | Chester Sports and Leisure Association formed in 1984 and consisted of affiliated clubs and associations and societies. In 1986 it took under its wing Chester sports and leisure fortnight, which had begun in 1969 (this event originally only lasted a week). Its aim was to encourage young people to take part in sporting events. It obtained sponsorship from firms and received donations. |
