Administrative History	This school was opened in Christleton Road, Boughton in 1866 by Boughton British Schools. Management was transferred to the Chester British Schools Association in 1891 when financial difficulties forced the managers to ask Chester British Schools Association to assume responsibility or the Boughton schools [see ZD/ES/5/2, minutes for 19 May 1891]. The school closed in 1910 when Cherry Grove Council School was opened.
