Administrative History | From September 1972 Chester schools were reorganised as first schools for children aged five to eight, middle schools for children aged eight to twelve, and high schools for children from the age of twelve. As part of this reorganisation Westminster C.E. Junior School was transferred from Westminster Road, Hoole, to a site in Hoole Lane opposite the City Hospital, and developed as a middle school. The new school, opened in September 1972, was named St. James's Middle School. This school was opened in 1972 in Hoole Lane to replace Westminster C.E. Junior School. It became St James' C. E. Junior School. |
