DescriptionTitle deeds and related papers of parts of the estates in Thornton Hough, Poulton cum Spital, Storeton, Bebington and Tranmere.
Administrative HistoryThe estate was assembled by purchase by William Hesketh Lever between 1888 and 1911. It comprised 2 main blocks of property:
a. The Manor of Thornton Hough and other premises in Thornton Hough which were parts of the Mostyn estate in Neston, put up for sale by auction in 1849;
b. The Storeton estate originally part of the Massey family estate, acquired by Sir Thomas Brocklebank, and purchased by Lever after the former's death in 1911.
