| Administrative History | The Warrington and District Savings Bank was formed by the amalgamation of the Warrington Savings Bank and the Runcorn Savings Bank in 1913. The former was founded in 1818 and the latter in 1842. After amalgamation, the Bank was initially called Warrington, Runcorn and District Bank. In 1959, it became the Warrington and District Trustee Savings Bank, and subsequently part of the TSB.
