Lease for life of Roger Downes or 60 years of a water mill with its appurtenances called Potte mylne and a coal pit in Wourthe [Worth] lately occupied by George Pinche, and for 40 years after the death of Elizabeth Downes widow of rents issueing from lands etc in Poynton, Whitfield, and Bollington, held by her for life as dower, to uses viz;- the maintenance and provision for Roger Downes's daughters Margaret, Dorothy, Frances and Mary; with covenant by Roger to assure to the trustees as security for the afsd rents etc and estate for term of life of Roger Downes in the Hall of Shrigley and certain lands in Potte Shrigley [Pott Shrigley], Ranowe [Rainow], Kettleshulme, and Bollington, which lately were occupied by Roger Downes of Ruddingar, John Vnwin, John Harvey, Reynold Alleyn, William Sympson, Lawrence Alleyne, William Warde, Lawrence Downes, John Normansell, Edward Bryne, Richard Echels, Nicholas Oldroyd, John Rixon, Ellen Andrew widow, Francis Potte, Richard Smale, Thomas Smale, John Cleyton, Roger Cottrell, Edward Alleyn, Peter Hulme, John Tailor, Renold Adshed, Reynold Potte.
