Description	At Macclesfeild [Macclesfield]. Suitors: 1. John Heape of Bollington Yeoman, Susanna his wife, and Edward Dale of Bollington Yeoman, 2. Lawrence Downes. Jurors: Sir William Brereton Bt steward for the Commonwealth of England, George Day, William Pott, Hugh Cherrey, Thomas Adshead (pledge for fine), Nicholas Higginbotham clerk of court. Surrender and Admittance (Fine 18d.) into two closes with appurtenances in Bollington within the Manor and Forest of Macclesfeild [Macclesfield] called the great Close and the Longe Dole held by Lawrence Downes of Worth Esq, William Lucas of Adlington Husbandman. Franked: Higginbothom. English Mark: X. c. 3. John Heape and others to Laurence Downes Esqr 1657.
Physical Description	Parchment: 1 membrane 16½" wide by 13½". Seal: Pendant on label, red, round, 30mm diam, compacted with paper with which it was parcelled and hence effaced.
