Assignment on consideration of £10 paid at the request of Elizabeth Taylor wife of William Taylor of a lease created by Indenture 8 August 1679 between 1. Thomas Legh of Adlington co. Chester Esq and 2. George Barbor for term of life of Philip Taylor and Timothy Taylor sons of William Taylor of Presbury and life of Alice Burnes of Mottram Andrew widow, or survivor at 8s. 7½d. per annum rent and 2s. 6d. at Christmas for services, of a messuage or tenement in Presbury [Prestbury] called Phillip Cleatons Tenement lately occupied by Phillip Cleaton dcsd; which lease is now assigned for 99 years or the afsd lives in trust, the trustees to recover £10 from 8 years' issues of 2 large closes at the afsd tenement and the estate to be held to use for term of life of William Taylor to use of Elizabeth his wife for her livelihood and the bringing up of her children thereafter for her life to the use of the children's education and preferment.
