DescriptionButley Hall

To preserve uniformly the conduct I mean to pursue, I cannot be satisfied without giving You [the earliest] 'previous' information of the intended Sale of Worth. The Terms on which it [must] 'will' be offered to any person[s who are] 'that is' inclined to purchase, & on which it will be put up to Auction, if not otherwise disposed of in a few weeks, are £27,000, the payments to be compleated on a fixed day [in] 'about' March or April next, when possession will be given. If the Purchaser & the present Mortgage, to whom it is now mortgaged for £6,000 'at 5 Pr. Cent' can agree for that Sum to remain on the estate, it can make no difference to Us; but the remaining £21,000 we must receive in Nett Money. If You think the Purchase [of] on these Terms worth[y] your Notice, I can say with great Truth, the satisfaction will be mutual; 'but' if not, You will do me the justice, 'I hope', to allow my [well] good meaning in offering You the first refusal --- [I am] [`The favour of an answer [when] 'as soon as' convenient will' 'oblige', Sir, Yr.hble.serv't.
