DescriptionIt contains a full and detailed inventory of plate, ornaments "juellez", books and lands. Books named are "ii Masse bokes, a boke calde legenda Aurea & an other calde pergrinacio humane vite, a boke calde diues et pauper & an other calde ye Cordyall, a boke calde ye boke ryall, an other calde ye pylgremage of ye saule, a boke calde Speculum vite Christi, an other calde gode maners, a boke calde gestus romanorum, an other calde Crede Michi, a boke of the brother hode and a quayre of the masse of Jhesu with the seruys that longes therto & xi Tabuls with prayers". There is an item of furniture inter alia "iii grete Cofurs" which indicates the "parish chest". Lands listed are - in Moburley [Mobberley]; Alseger [Alsager]; Sutton; Bolyngton [Bollington], tenanted by John Dale and Rychart Taylior; Ranowe [Rainow]; Ketulleshulme [Kettleshulme]; and tenements named Kyndur Howse, the holmes, Pot Ker, Arkylle howse, the Oxforthe. John Smythe of Hayfield is named in the rental endorsed on this inventory.

Physical DescriptionPaper in two pieces, originally a single sheet 6½" wide by 16½", but parted at fold half-way down. Mice have eaten away a considerable part of the 'upper half' and a fair hole in the 'lower', so that much text has been lost.
