Administrative History	The Earl of Shrewsbury was recorded in the Return of Owners of Land in England and Wales (1873) as owner of 8640 acres in Cheshire. His estates fell into 3 principal blocks: Little Budworth; Oxton, including lands in Barnston, Brimstage, Prenton, Raby and Thornton; and one to the north east of Chester in Dunham on the Hill, Mickle Trafford, Picton, Hoole and Upton
