Administrative HistoryDisley Rural District Council was formed under the 1894 Local Government Act from the part of Disley civil parish which was formerly in Hayfield Rural District. In 1974, it amalgamated with several neighbouring urban and rural district councils to form the new Macclesfield Borough Council. See LDM for post 1974 records.
