Administrative HistoryLymm Urban District Council was established in 1894, succeeding the Local Board of Health which had been established in 1863. The Council was divided into four wards - Booth's Hill, Heatley, Lymm and Statham. By the County of Chester Review Order, 1936, parts of the parishes of Agden and Grappenhall were added to the parish and urban district. With Local Government reorganisation in 1974 Lymm Urban District Council was dissolved and the district became part of the new Warrington Borough.
