| Description | This collection mainly relates to properties of the Clubbe, Cotton and Snow families. These include properties in Bridge Street, Clayton Lane (Duke Street), Gorse Stacks, Foregate Street and Windmill Lane (Victoria Road). The Snow family papers include material relating to the enclosure of Saltney Marsh, 1776-81; the Lache Hall estate; and a list of ships taken by Great Britain during the American War of Independence. The collection also includes documents and plans relating to the passage of the River Dee Conservancy and Improvement Acts, 1884-1885. |
