DescriptionGRANT by William de Larketon to Phelyp de Eggerton and his heirs, for the life of the said William, of a piece of moor and land in LARKETON [Larkton]and BYKERTON [Bickerton], under the following conditions:- that the said Philip shall enclose between him and the said William, from a place called Benettesheye in HAMPTON to another place called Ruylesmor in BYKERTON, so that if the beasts of the said William stray onto the lands of the said Philip within the boundaries aforesaid, for want of fencing, they shall not be emparked or harmed in any other way for damages caused, whereas if the beasts of the said Philip stray onto the lands of the said William within the boundaries aforesaid, for want of fencing, they shall be retained in his possession until satisfaction be made him for damages; and the said William agrees, for life, to enclose a parcel of Ruylesmor near the edge of the said Philip's ditch to the Smalemor of William le Warde.., under similar conditions.
