[1] Hugh of Horsale [Hurst Hall] has given, granted and confirmed to Hugh, his son, and [2] the lawful heirs of his body, all his lands and tenements, rents and services with appurtenances in Marbury and Nortbury [Norbury] [3] and in a certain hamlet in Marbury called 'Horsale' [Hurst Hall] without any reservation. To be had and held of Hugh and his heirs to the said Hugh [4] and his lawful heirs, all the said lands and tenements, rents and services with all their appurtenances, liberties, [5] commons and easements wherever they pertain to the said tenements. Rendering thereby annually to Hugh for his whole life, ten [6] pounds of silver, to wit, at the feast of Saint John the Baptist, five pounds, and at the feast of Saint Martin, five pounds for all property. And should [7] the said Hugh die without lawfully issued heir, then all the said land [8] and tenements, rents and services with all their appurtenances shall fully revert to the said Hugh of Horsale [Hurst Hall] and his heirs forever, [9] To be had and held of the chief lord of the fee by services which pertain to the said tenements.
