[1] Party 1, Hugh, son of John of Byriton [Buerton], to
[2] party 2, Thomas of Etone [Eaton] for a certain sum of money which Thomas gave to Hugh beforehand, all lands and all
[3] messuages with their appurtenances, which Hugh held in Halghton [Haughton] and Rodenhale of the feoffments of party 3 Morris de
[4] Halghtone [Haughton], Madoc Gogh, John, son of Hugh le fiz Philip de Felton, and John, son of William of Halghton [Haughton], to be had
[5] and held
[6] to the aforesaid Thomas and his heirs and assigns of the [word deleted] lords of that fee.
[8] By rendering thence annually
[9] to the chief lords of the fee services thereby owed and accustomed, and to the aforesaid John, son of Hugh le fiz Philip
[10] and his heirs or assigns two shillings and six pence of silver at two terms of the year, namely half
[11] at the feast of St. Michael and the other half at the feast of the Annunciation of the blessed Mary, and when the aforesaid Thomas dies,
[12] half a mark of silver, as heriot, to discharge all his other chattels, for all secular services, exactions
[13] and demands, and for all other things which could be demanded either in death or in life, or requested in any way.
