DescriptionConcerning his role as guardian to Newcastle's children (probably Henry Pelham Pelham-Clinton, 5th Duke of Newcastle - 1811-1864) in the event of his death and both GLW's and Gladstone's role as executors to his will. Gladstone states that he does not have the time to fulfill his duties and requests the assistance of GLW. Explaining his absences from London and failure to keep in touch with GLW. Turning down an invitation to Tabley House as he has already agreed to visit Sir James Watts. Apologising for not being able to visit and attempting to find an appropriate date on which to meet up. Regarding Mr Beaumont he states the drink has been the ruin of him and apologises for the trouble he has caused Lord de Tabley.
