DescriptionPhilip Ffayrefax of Steeton (Steeton) co. York, and Charles Kelks of Sheriff Hutton, Co. York knight, recognised on 18 Feb 1608/9 (Regnal year - 6 James I) before Edward Coke, chief justice that they owed to John Coombe, citizen of London £400 due the next Easter, but they had not paid. They were accordingly to be imprisoned until the debt was satisfied in full.
Seal broken but a fragment remains on the tongue (Latin)
