A book of transcripts. The description runs “The collections followinge. I have not onely with my owne hande transcribed from the originall charters and the couchier bookes remayninge on record in the Duchy Office at Grayes Inne within cited, but have likewise diligently compared and examined my transcripts with the same authorityes vouched anno domini 1646. P. Leicester.

These transcripts followinge were lent unto me, which were under the hand of Mr Dugdale; from whose collections and transcripts I have faithfully here coppyed out these three followinge charters.

3 charters from the great manuscript book of charters from the folio on which was enrolled the charters of the Bassetss of Draiton Basset c. Staffs, in 1638, remaining the house of Arundels at London. These charters are transcribed here in 1646, by P.L. copies received from Simon D’ewes. Note that P.L. extended words abbreviated in the charters from which he copied. Extract from a feodary of Ralph Basset of Weldon, Northants, in the custody of Henry Shurley of astwell, co. Northants. (but P.L. copied from a transcript by Sir Simon Dewes)
