Over against every booke you have the capitall letters directing to the shelf in the study, and the number directed to the palce where such particular booke standeth on that shelfe accordinge to its order; Always remember to account a sinistre versus dextrus from the cpital letters on the shel and up the number (if you miscount not) directeth to the booke. And whensoever you take downe any booke in the study be sure to place it againe exactly in tis proper place whence it is taken: and for better direction to prevent mistakes I have inscribed in the beginning of every booke the capitall letter and number thereof. by which you may know both the shelfe and place where it ought to be put.
