Foreword / subtitle by Sir Peter Leycester: Which papers I then promised should be put in the Addenda of my booke of the Earls of Chester whenever my book should be appear to be printed, if that fell out to be in my life time. But when my book was printed scilicet anno 1672, I then minding Sir Thomas here of he would not have them printed: miregard (as he said truly) there were many impertinencyes in them: and so these papers lie dormant by me.
