Description | Pledges to send a half years rent and accounts to Sir Francis as soon as possible and bemoans he has not yet received a penny of Michaelmas rent yet but will now press tenants for it. Money is due to Mr Hadilston, Sir Francis's attorney but he is unaware of how much and cannot find out until he returns from England. Requests that Sir Francis himself send a letter to one debtor as he believes it will have more effect than forty such letters from him. He also bemoans that many tenants are very poor and have sick children and he scarcely has the heart to pressure them to pay. |
