DescriptionWilliam de Blakeburne, chaplain, confirmed to John de Leycestr’, senior, all the manors messuages etc which he had of the feoffment of John son William de Leycestr’ in the co of Chester, with Roger de Venables, parson of Rostherne, Hugh de Dutton, William de Hulme and Thomas del Heth, chaplains now dead. And John Tuchet, formerly parson of the Church of Middlewich, and Robert de Nedham quitclaimed all their rights in the lands, except those previously handed over by John Leycestr’ by indenture lying in the townships of Over Tabley and Nether Tabley. To hold for term of life, passing to John Leycestr’ junior. Provisions for descent if he dies without male heirs as in DLT A/1/17 (to pass to Hamo, Ranulph, Nicholas and Henry in turn, if none of them have male heirs).
