He was to be buried in the parish church of Budworth. He had enfeoffed Ranulphe Manwaringe, Thomas Leigh & Richard Eaton with all his lands etc. To hold as follows:- the tithes of corn were for the use of his wife Elizabeth, to maintain Tabley House but, if she re-married, Adam, his brother is to maintain Tabley House. Adam and his heirs were to have the tithes of Nether Pever [Nether Peover], and if he died without male heirs they passed to his brother William, if William died without male heirs they passed to the rightful heirs of Peter; He bequeathed the tithe corn of Sudlow to Elizabeth & Katheren, his daughters & £800 as a marriage portion for Elizabeth, & £800 marriage portion for Katheren, & 800 marcs for Alice Leicester; to his brother William Leicester of Toft, his white gelding; to George Leicester, his son-in-law, his black horse; to Ranulph Man waring his best gelding, to Thomas Leigh his second best gelding, to Richard Ea ton his next best gelding; all servants who had been with him at least 2 years were to have a years wages. To Margaret Jenkynson his best cow and a calf. On paper.
