Dorothy undertook to present a true valuation of the lands. She also undertakes not to depreciate the value of the estates, while they are in her possession. If any special promotion of which the patronage belongs to Peter Leicester, should fall vacant during the minority of Peter, she was to certify this to the Queen and Council. Extracted by the clerk of wards. Signed Burghley. Seal in red wax on a tag. Top margin indented. English. Attached in a schedule giving an extent of all the messuages etc. which had belonged to the late Adam Leicester, who died June 7th last, now in the possession of Peter Leicester, his son and heir, being 3 years of age on July 10th last.
