DescriptionTripartite award of arbitration by Thomas the [sic] Grosvenor, knight, in disputes between Hugh the [sic] Venables of Kynderton , Richard the [sic] Venables , Hugh’s brother, Elizabeth, wife of William of the Mere, and Nicholas of Hasulhurst, on the one part, and William of Leycestre, John of Leycestre, Laurence of Leycestre, Geffrun of Leycestre, sons of William Harre of Glasebroke of Tabley, tenants of the said William and Jankyn the Brydde of the Helde beside Budworth on the other part. William, John and their associates were to pay 40s. to Nicholas. Nicholas was to pay a mark to Henry of Glasebroke. Richard the Venables was to pay 20s. to Jankyn the Brydde, & a hogshed of wine to William of Leycestr’. Jankyn granted a messuage to Elizabeth, held by the said Hugh. Monday before Assumption. Regnal year - 5 Henry VI.
