DescriptionMaps and sections with book of references for the Chester to Birkenhead Railway with branches to Kings Ferry [now Queensferry], Neston, Hoylake and New Brighton.
1. The main line appears to be the dual tracking of the existing single track line from Chester to Birkenhead passing through the townships of Newton by Chester, Upton, Moston, Great Mollington, Lea, Capenhurst, Ledsham, Little Sutton, Childer Thornton, Hooton, Eastham, Bromborow [Bromborough], Poulton cum Spittle [Poolton cum Spital], Lower Bebington, Higher Bebington, Tranmere and ending at the Monks Ferry on the River Mersey in Birkenhead township.
2. Kings Ferry Branch from Hooton station through Childer Thornton, Little Sutton, Ledsham, Puddington, Shotwick, Great Saughall, and Sealand at the River Dee.
3. Neston Branch from Hooton Station through Willaston [Street plan thereof], Little Neston, Great Neston [Street plan thereof].
4. Hoylake Branch from Grange Lane Station in Birkenhead through Tranmere, Birkenhead, Claughton cum Grange, Bidston, Moreton, Saughall Massey, Great Meols, Hoose, and Little Meols.
5. New Brighton Branch from the Hoylake Branch and wholly in Wallasey township.
