| Description | The assessments give the names of owners and occupiers, the sums assessed, and in the majority of years a brief description of the property. They were originally stored in annual bundles in Hundreds (those for Wirral Hundred, 1797, were filed on a string), but have for convenience been sorted into alphabetical order of township. Miscellaneous papers found with the assessments have been placed together at the end of the sequence (QDV 2/483-495). No assessments are in the series for the townships of Blackden, Delamere, Eddisbury, Kingswood, Oakmere, Priors Heys, and Threapwood. |
