3. Constables presentments for St. Martin's ward. [Mr. Pole,alderman]. Contains a list of poor persons in the ward, including Manx and Irish, with marginal notes that some of them had been examined. Also reference to St. Martins Ash where waste water had been allowed to collect in winter.

Examination of John Davy concerning the theft of clothes from a loft belonging to Mr. Richard Wright and the theft of jewellery from Richard Warmincham, as in 12 and 13.
8. Indictment that Thomas Crecheley of Tockhales [Tockholes] co. Lancaster, yeoman, on 20 June 1591 at Chester broke into the house of Willaim Holdens of Ewde [Ewood], co. Lancaster, yeoman, by might and stole a cloak worth 20s. belonging to the said William.
Endorsed: 'Tried at Coronmot 30 July 1592 but rejected because the matter is foren and also before the pardon'.

Examination of Thomas Woodcocke of Lyvesey [Livesey], co. Lancaster, taken before William Farrington of Worden co. Lancaster, one of the Justices of the Peace for the said county, concerning the same and other goods stolen by Thomas Crecheley and William Holden at various times at Ewood etc.
10. Indictment that William Johnes of Santassaphe [St Asaph] co. Flint, on ?5 Feb. 1592/3 at Chester broke into the house of William Clough of Chester, innkeeper, and stole a silver spoon worth 7s. belonging to the said William Clough.

11. Indictment that John Hioock of Whitchurch, Salop, yeoman, on 4 June 1593 at Chester stole two grammar books price 2s. the owner of which was unknown.

12. Indictment that John Davy of Chester, yeoman, on 17 March 1592/3 broke into the house of Richard Warmincham of Chester, goldsmith, and stole two brooches worth 2s. and 2 'gobertes' ?goblets worth 2s. belonging to the said Richard.

Indictment that John Davy of Chester, yeoman, on 17 March 1592/3 at Chester broke into the house of Richard Wright of Chester, innholder, and stole four pieces of cloth called four cross clothes worth two [missing], a kerchief worth [missing], a night cap worth 6d., a cloak worth [missing] and a shirt band worth 7d. belonging to the said Richard Wright.
