20. Indictment that Jane Christian of Chester, spinster, on 17 April 1598 at Chester stole a cloak worth 12s. belonging to Thomas Dutton of Norton, Cheshire, yeoman, then in Chester. Also that John Christian of Chester, husbandman, at Chester on the same day, knowing what the said Jane had done, aided and helped her.
Billa vera for Jane Christian, 'but we cleare hir hosband'.
21. Indictment that Sarah Might alias Merrick of Chester, spinster, on 22 Dec. 1597 at Chester broke into the house of Valentine Broughton of Chester, alderman, and stole a 'hoope' of barley worth 3s. Also that Jane Harrison of Chester, spinster, and John Harrison of Chester, sherman, at Chester on the same day, knowing what the said Sarah had done, aided and helped her.

22. Indictment that Anna Browne of Chester, spinster, on 17 April 1598 at Chester, stole a cloak worth 5s. from Thomas Dutton of Norton Cheshire, yeoman then in Chester. Also that Thomas Browne of Chester, husbandman, at Chester on the same day, knowing what the said Anna had done, aided and helped her.
