Presentments by the jury, including the playing of football during sermon time in St. Werburgh's churchyward, and a house belonging to Thomas Smith, esq., in the linen market, then in the occupation of widow Clough, which was in danger of falling down 'to the danger of the lives of those wch shall be vnder it'.

Montgomery, shoemaker, on 27 October 1599 at Chester stole a purse worth 2d. containing 4s. 4d. belonging to Thomas Watt of Oxton, Cheshire, weaver. Also that Thomas Johnes of Crickwell [Crickhowell] co. Brecon, husbandman, and Richard ap Evan of Llanydlas, knowing what the said Morgan had done, aided and helped him on the same day.
