DescriptionDEED of PARTITION between John Moreton of Moreton, esq, and Rondull Rode of Odd Rode, esq., ------ lands, etc, in ODD RODE "which in times past have been taken as Waste Land or commons there" and in which J. Moreton and R. Rode are seased in common and hold together as Tenants in Common, whereby these lands, etc., are divided as follow:-(i) To John Moreton ----- 1 croft or enclosure of the lands now/late in the occupation of one John commonly called John Rode adjoining to 1 croft in the occupation of Thomas Barnett; 1 orchard or hempyard and other parcels of land now/late in the occupation of Elme Hancoke or William Hancoke her late husband deceased; 1 croft upon Hall Green and 1 garden or parcel of land on Kent Green both now/late in the occupation of Thomas Twemlowe; 1 croft on Lumpes Mosse now/late in the occupation of Richard Davyson; 1 parcel of land between 1 croft in the occupation of Thomas Hulme and the land of William Leversage esq and the cartway as is now of late meyred; that part of the Pease Field lying next to the Hall of Rode; 1 parcel of land on the High Street at the corner of the Pease Field, and 1 parcel of the bottom of the Pease Field adjoining to the land in the occupation of William Turner and Malde Anderton widow and to the land in the occupation of John Tompson and to the beane holme and to a young sapling.(ii) Rondull Rode ----- the cottage house lane and remaining crofts and parcels of ground in the occupation of one John commonly called John Rode; 1 croft upon Kent Green now/late in the occupation of Richard Cartwright; 1 garden or hempyard near Kent Green now/late in the occupation of John Wolffe; 1 croft in or on Hall Green near to Spone Mosse now/late in the occupation of Thomas Pevor; 1 orchard in the occupation of Richard Rathbone and/or Thomas Rathbone; 1 parcel of land on Hall Green lately enclosed by Rauffe Tompson; the rest and residue of the Pease Field and the parcel of Land lying near to the gate and open to the High Street.
