Description | LEASE for 6 months and Settlement previous to the Marriage of Isaac Whittakers, s. & h. of Edward Whittakers, and Mary Sidebotham, d. of John Sidebotham of Congleton, gentleman, between (1) the said Edward Whittakers of Odd Rode, yeoman, (2) John Alsager of Turnehurst, Staffs. gentleman, and Edmund Antrobus of Odd Rode, yeoman, and (3) the said John Sidebotham ---- Messuage and tenement with appurtenances wherein the said Edward Whittakers dwells in ODD RODE late in the tenure of Hugh Noden deceased, with all buildings, garden, orchards, lands, etc., appertaining thereto, and also his several closes, fields and parcels of land, meadow and pasture in ODD RODE and/or CHURCH LAWTON heretofore enjoyed with a messuage or tenement in ODD RODE late the inheritance of John Poole of Tarbock [Lancs.], yeoman, and sold by him to Edward Whittakers, called the Highmost Field, the Ollery Croft, the Two Hurbers Crofts, the Two Jack Yords with their appurtenances, and also a messuage and tenement in SCHOLLON GREEN in ODD RODE alias RODE late in the possession of John Stonier yeoman, deceased, and purchased by Edw. Whittakers from Randle Rode of Rode, esq. and his son & heir Thomas Rode, gentleman, both deceased, and now in tenure of George Stonier at rent of 25/- p.a., together with all its buildings gardens lands, etc., and appurtenances, to the Use of Edward Whittakers with remainder to his wife Anne with remainder to Isaac Whittakers and Mary his intended wife, and also Edw. Whittakers's two portions in a messuage or tenement in GROTTON in par. of HORTON, Staffs., together with his portions of all buildings, gardens, lands thereto appertaining, and also all Edw. Whittakers other messuages, tenements and hereditaments in ODD RODE, CHURCH LAWTON and GROTTON or elsewhere in Cheshire or Staffordshire, to Use of Isaac Whittakers with remainder to Mary his intended wife, and John Sidebotham gives to Edw.
