| Description | Lease and release, the release being a conveyance from Abraham Ball of Chester, esq., and Mary, his wife, daughter and only child of Richard Platt of Chester, gentleman., deceased, with the consent of Alice Platt, widow of the said Richard Platt, and with the consent of John Forbes of Drogheda, Ireland, esq. and John Williams of Boddlewiddan Bodelwyddan, co. Flint, esq. trustees of the said Abraham, Mary and Alice, at the direction of John Mellor of Chester, plumber, to David Jones of Chester, gentleman., of a messuage on the West side of Northgate Street in the tenure of John Ellis, wine merchant, a shop and stall in the Row underneath the same in the tenure of Samuel Zackery and Martha Jones, flourdealers, and a shop, vault or cellar to the street in the tenure of the said John Ellis, and 2 other messuages, behind and at the W. end of the said messuage, in the tenure of Patrick Manning and the said Samuel Zackery and Martha Jones, formerly purchased by the said Richard Platt from Mary Cotgrave, widow, subject to a fee farm rent of 12s. To hold to the use of the said John Mellor, provision being made that assignment of mortgage as in ZC2C/11-12 should be held by trustees of Daniel Smith, innholder, deceased, to the use of the said John Mellor.
