| Description | Conveyance from Robert Smith of Guilden Sutton, farmer, to Chester Corporation of a messuage or dwellinghouse with the out-buildings and gardens, etc., on the west side of Northgate Street near the Green Market, formerly known as the 'White Lion' and 'King's Head' and then known as 'The White Lion Inn', formerly in occupation of John Paul, innholder, and all those stables, coach-houses, sheds, outoffices, buildings, yards and premises at the back, purchased by the Corporation for the purpose of erecting a Market House or Market Houses on the site'.
