An order was also made for a work to be made at the starting stone for turning the course of the river, the charge being defrayed out of the money for prise wines, not exceeding £20. Mr. Mayor is to disburse the same and be repaid out of the prise wines within six months. Aldermen Crompton and Hugh and Mr. Ric: Bird were appointed overseers.
