Description | Petition of Randle Richardson stating that he had paid several debts for his father-in-law, John Brookes, Macebearer, who was so 'weake and decrepitt in his lymbe and defective in his Memory & understandinge' that he could not supply the place. As he had engaged himself to keep his father-in-law during his life, and the latter was willing to resign his place, he asked to be confirmed as Macebearer. Note that he was to be admitted to the place performing the promise and engagement towards Mr. Brooke as specified above |
